
Big Rideau Lake, Ontario
One of the most beautiful regions in the Canadian province of Ontario, The Big Rideau Lake is connected to the Upper Rideau Lake through the Narrows Lock at the southwestern end of the lake.
It is located 45 minutes North of Kingston, a 3 1/2 hour drive east of Toronto along Highway 401, and a 1 hour drive south-west of Ottawa via Highway 7.
U.S. visitors can easily get to The Big Rideau Lake by taking l-81 to the Thousand Islands Bridge border crossing, take the 401 Highway West to Highway 15 North (Exit 623) off 401 Highway, a 45 minute drive!
The common fish found in the Rideau Lakes include Sunfish, Rock Bass,Northen Pike, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Crappie, Walleye and Lake Trout!
